      <description>&lt;SPAN&gt;Why are my messages sometimes being sent in green and not blue.&amp;nbsp;I can't see if it's been delivered or received.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is it because the receiver has turned off messages.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;How can i resolve this please.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>Yes, if the receiver hasn't enable it in his settings then they are shown green. Ask who your sending the messages to, to turn his settings on.</description>

If you open the Messages app &amp;gt; Tap the 3 dots in the top right &amp;gt; Settings &amp;gt; Chat settings &amp;gt; Default message type, and set this to Automatic, then this will adjust the format accordingly, depending on the recipient, and your current connection status. As pointed out by&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2915925"&gt;@Fiona26&lt;/a&gt;, a Wi-Fi connection is required in order to send messages as a chat, but you can also tap on 'If a chat isn't delivered' and select 'Ask before resending' if you'd prefer to maintain some format continuity with a certain contact.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
