Cannot backup whatsapp in google drive. Getting a grey triangle with ! mark in google drive next to whatsapp. Managed to back up Viber without a hitch.

@EBK: Please can you try backing up via WhatsApp itself, to see if you have more success? To do so, open WhatsApp > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Chats > Chat backup. Let me know how you get on.

That's how I did it. But Whatsapp on new phone did not prompt me to restore. So, I checked drive and found the grey triangle with the exclamation mark. So the backup not succesful. Not sure whether it is connected with drive storage size. Some sources say that backup does not count into drive storage. If it does though that could be an issue.
