Torrent client not working on S22 Ultra

Good morning,

I have purchased S22 Ultra and installed all the apps i use, when i tried to download a torrent file via Utorrent, the application crashed and stopped. Unistalled it, downloaded again, and the same happened. Tried with three other torrent applications, allcrashed the moment they started.

even downloaded torrent app from samsung store and same happened.

Phone is up to date with all updates!

Is there a sollution for this or im required t change the phone??

Help please!

I have the same exact issue with my Fold 4. Did you figure out a fix?

No, unfortunatly.

My collegue bought s22 plus from samsung website US and he does not have this issue.

I bought mine from amazon on prime day.

Every time it starts the torrent (any client) the app crashes..

There must be a sollution..

Dude!! I figured it out. I believe it has to do with Android 12 and folder permissions.

The default location for the torrents to download for me was: /storage/emulated/0/Download

After changing this download location to /storage/emulated/0/Android/media

I created a folder there called "torrents" so full path is: /storage/emulated/0/Android/media/torrents

It would no longer crash using the app Flud.

in client uTorrent , it does not allow to change the download folder for some reason.

I will try with this other app..

Same exact issue. Never had a problem with my s21 ultra. I've tried factory resetting clean and nothing

Tried multiple torrent apps too. Flud, utorrent pro , etc. Major issue!

So, i tried the same as MellowDrain, in uTorrent it did not allow me to change a download location, but in FLUD i was able to create a folderr in the root /storage/emulated/0/ and it worked after restart f the phone.

Finaly the issue is fixed,!! thanx MellowDrain!!!

Yip done the same....changed directory in fluid torrent and working a treat..... thanks
