My biggest concern is... will it work with Barclays Bank/Cards? as I know they have their own app but not one for the S3.

This is huge for me too. Noted it is very political between Samsung and the banks.

Same here, been waiting since i got my gear s2 back in late 2015, was first promised in early 16 but seems to have died a death. It seems you have had no reply in 3 weeks so i won't hold my breath 🙂

I was wondering too about the Samsung pay launch but seem to remember reading somewhere that it's due to launch some times round May. Won't be holding my breath though. I'm keen on this feature too.

So it's been released in the UK for certain devices, I have one of those devices (s7 edge with latest updates) but I am still unable to download.

Also looking at the list of banks it's a joke, the biggest banks in the UK are not supported.

We have been waiting over a year since Samsung said pay would be released in the UK and when it is released it's very poor, I expect more from a company like Samsung.

Any chance for a link to the info u guys found.. I've got an s8 plus.. but mainly hoping it works for the gear s3.

Just installed it from the samsung app store, attempted to install but it suggested i update my firmware. All installed and working fine.

Yep not a lot of banks onboard yet luckily I have a santander account which it all works fine, although my main account i use is natwest so won't be using it much if at all until they are on board.

Just waiting for the update for the gear s2 now so i can try it with that.

Got it installed and tested in McDonalds....

No idea why this is not supported on the Gear S3; missed a trick there Samsung!!

Is there a way to urge our banks to join? And am I right to think that Samsung Pay uk is different as it works only when contactless payment is available while in the us it works with ordinary machines?

Lack of banks is not ideal, mines isn't there. However the fact in America they have that magnetic technology that pays anywhere and this isn't being given to uk customers, I'll stick to android pay. Literal samsung have given us no reason to use samsung pay.

I use Android Pay on my s8 as I'm in the Uk too and HSBC hasn't yet joined in with Samsung Pay.

However I'd like to try out Samsung Pay on my s8 and Gear s2 Classic Watch.

Im waiting for the S2 update as well, apparently some UK S2 have already updated. Works fine on my S6 phone and supports my savings bank but not my current account bank. I also like the loyalty card integration

Have you tried pressing and holding your back button on your s2 launch Samsung Pay?

Which update have you seen that your waiting for if the back button holding does not invoke Samsung Pay.

I can't try on my s2 Classic yet as I mentioned earlier my bank has yet to pull the trigger on joining.
