Google 2 step verification

Hi can anyone help me. I'm locked out my google account because it's asking for 2 step verification but it's my old phone number that's registered with my google account. Has anyone had this before and any help on this ? Or anyway I can contact google. I have been online looking for google customer support but i am only find an email address for India and the phone number for the uk doesn't work. Any help or info appreciated.

Not off the top of my head sorry. I have rung them as early as 8am but not much after 7pm. Ring the number and see if there is a recorded message about access times.

Have you tried the 'try another way' link which may use an email address or let you input one of the backup codes google generates when you setup 2 step verification..

For future reference it's always a good idea to make a note of the google codes...

Yes I tried that it's only giving me the option for my old phone number even though I have a recovery email to set up.

*Update* I managed to get my Google account back. Google removed 2 step verification 🙂 thanks for the help 👍
