Android 12 apps cant be added to home screen

Since i updated to android 12 i now cannot add apps to homescreen ir folder. In settings i currently show apps on. Have lock screen layout off. Add new apps is on. Have toggled this on and off to check and no difference.

On settings home screen
Check you have
Add new apps to home screen checked

Also since update
Have you cleared the phone cache

Yep set to on as i said above. Still doesnt work. My workaround at the moment is i mame room at the bottom panel and an drag icons to bottom menu and from there I can put on home screen. Otherwise cant do. Think it has something to do with new apps screen on android 12
