I tried long press on a image that was sent to me as message in fb messenger and it said image can't be saved, it worked previously, I tried rebooting and clearing cache and going thru all my options on how to fix this and I can't, my internet connection is good, on Samsung s21 ultra

Have you tried signing out, then signing back in again? It's a simple step but it tends to work miracles at times!

Sure I could, but I should be able to save and or share the image from messenger, which I can't do, it needs to work correctly

Check fb messenger permissions
