Instagram Notifications

Recently got the s21 ultra and its my first android phone in years. I've noticed that Instagram keeps showing a notification bubble even when there are no notifications and I can't get it away.

Can anyone help it's so annoying

Have you gone into settings notifications and turned off the notifications for Instagram.

The settings are all fine. It appears to be when i get a notification on Instagram about someone starting a live video, I've got to tap the notification for the counter to go away. So will keeping doing that and see how I get on. Thank you 😊.

Ah ok have you turned off notifications for live video etc through the app?

@Anonymous User: Please can you also try heading to Settings > Apps > Instagram > Select a notification sub-category, if applicable > Show As Pop-up > Off. Now, head to Settings > Notifications > Advanced Settings > Floating Notifications > Off.
