Screen Recorder Not Recording Sound

Screen recorder does not record sound when using for example WhatsApp video conference or Zoom Meeting?

Any ideas as to how to capture sound? Video is captured fine.

If u go to settings advanced features screenshot and screen recorder there's an option in there sound u can put it to media sounds and mic hopefully that helps

Try App permissions or Permission Manager > Microphone and switch on the toggle for Zoom.

In fact when you start screen recorder, it asks you to select from three options. Mine is by default set to media sound and mic.

Thank you Pugs... Checked.. all permissions are ok for Mic.

Its Screen Recorder that needs mic permissions.

I removed that... But now I am getting error..
Can't record mic in use.

Hi all,

this may be down to some privacy settings on the apps are calls and meetings cannot be recorded as least that have been authorised for both parts. I know that you have a feature on the Zoom app that allows you to record the session so this can be shared after that.

This Happens to me too, whe I record games, with voice chat... as soon as my friends join in on vice chat (in game or discord) my sound is muted. My friend tried to record it on his phone (diffrent brand) he can record everything with voice chat and in game sound... Had this problem since my S10+ and now my a52

Was there a solution for this? I was able to get it to record both side while using my headphones but if I'm using speakers it does not record other person sound.

That's because it seems like no app can record the audio during screen capture when the microphone is "actively in use" by an other app.

Let me explain: if you record your screen and talk, while gaming or commenting a video, the microphone will get the sound of you speaking.

But if you place a conference call, whatever app you use will "actively use the mic" to transmit sound to the other person, thus cutting the audio in the video you're capturing.

The only workaround I can imagine is if you record media sounds only but it would require allowing audio passthrough for the mic so you can "hear yourself", but that's quite annoying with latency, and I'm not even sure Android can do that.

I have the exact same issue. While I do WhatsApp video call, the screen recorder only recorder the other person's voice. My side in the video is muted. If someone can provide a solution to this. It would be really helpful.

I recorded a concert on my recorder. So many songs got recorded only a few didn't. It was my favorite artists song. And I am sad that it's all lost even though I can see the recordings but there's no sound. Can someone please help? Thank you
