Of course there is! On my galaxy s10 plus I can use an otg (that is how they are called) which came inside the box and is usb-c to micro usb.

Depending on your port (usb-micro-b, usb C) ect.. you will need to get (if you do not have one already) and otg adaptor which has you port on one side and a female usb type-A on the other. From there just plug in your mouse receiver, (if you want mouse and keyboard get a bluetooth mouse and keyboard combo which share the same bluetooth transmitter) and you plug that into your device and it will work immediately.

You can also plug in usb sticks or ssds/hdds with the otg dongle BUT they need to be using the fat, fat32, exFat partitioning (not ntfs which is the one you use on your window os disk for example because it is proprietary of ms and only works with windows from xp version and up, and linux distros).

A bit about OTG support here https://android.gadgethacks.com/how-to/check-your-phone-for-usb-otg-support-connect-flash-drives-control-dslrs-more-0174182/

https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/what-is-usb-otg-5-cool-ways-use-android/

Personally do not have need for keyboard/mouse on smart phone, though some will find it beneficial.
