Some pictures from Samsung Gallery not synced with Google Photos

I have Google Photos set up to sync with Samsung Gallery, but I noticed that there are a few pictures in my Samsung Gallery that are not in Google Photos. Is there a way to resync the complete Samsung Gallery so these pictures are in sync with Google Photos too? Or a way to sync this pictures manually so they appear in at the correct date in Google Photos? (I tried to "share" the picture to Google Photos, but then it gets the date of when it was shared and it does not appear in Google Photos on the day the picture was actually taken.

Gallery is synced by default, but not all folders

check if other folders are encluded too

Google Photos app > Settings > Back up & sync > Back up device Folders

No, pictures were in a folder that is synchronised. Other pics in that folder were actually synced.

Found a solution myself: I had a backup of my pictures in OneDrive. So I removed the pics that were not synced from the gallery, and copied them back fron OneDrive. After that, these pictures were synchronised with Goolge Photo's. A bit of a work-around, but it worked.

How do you stop the OneDrive syncing and make them sync with google photos instead?
