Samsung Notes comes with certain unique and outstanding features. That's why it's branded. The other apps don't come with so many outstanding features (although I have to admit that the file manager has been quite extended these days with features to connect a NAS for example, which most defaults don't have).

Same goes for Samsung Health, or Maps and Drive (Google), or Office (Microsoft). They're the actual brand names of the apps, so they won't change.

Names like gallery, voice recorder and my files will change, because they're not branded app names. Samsung Notes is.

And what would removing Samsung from the name do? Which isn't going to happen, since it's a branded app name, but hypothetically; it would still be Notes and won't change based on the language if Samsung would follow that suggestion.

In addition: Samsung's phones are also called Galaxy no matter where you buy it from. They're not Sterrenstelsel, 銀河 or Галактика based on where you live. Some things just don't change, because they're names.

Samsung is trying to be consistent and inserting branding into a pre installed app title and without translating the title is not consistent

Some app icons are not consistent aswell; store, health and bixby do not have the same style as the oneUI icons. If store, health and bixby are branded icons, why does notes and members not have the branded icon style?

It's not a title, it's the name of the app. Not translating names is actually very consistent, as both Google and Microsoft do the same. It's not called Microsoft Kantoor in Dutch either. It stays Microsoft Office. In both Japanese and Russian, office is the same word, so I'll exclude those in the example this time.

Define the branded icon style? If you're talking about the color scheme then you're right, all apps follow their own color scheme. But other than that, the style is the same.

I get you're not pleading to literally translate Samsung (which would be Three stars). But Google doesn't translate their Maps, Drive and Play Store names. So if anything, the Photos app is the inconsistent one there.

Yes I would say so, but samsung notes does not necessarily to be branded. It's an essentials app, like calculator and contacts. And essential apps should in my vision be translated in this case.
