Samsung note8 + dex station + Microsoft Remote Desktop App

Hello

For some weeks Im working with the Samsung note8 in combination with the Dex station.

When working on a screen and DEX you can open all kinds off apps on your phone, also the Microsoft Remote Desktop App. However this app you CAN NOT maximize to full screen. Other apps do have this option.

Can Samsung / Mircosoft tell us when the MAXIMIZE funtion on this app is available?

Hi Ramon,

Install and run the Android app 'DEX MAX', click on the 'Expert' tab, find the Microsoft RDP app that you downloaded and installed previously; changes the manifest for full screen use, and it re-installs the modified RDP app.

Hallo Rohit,

Thank for your answer. Already tried the MAX app, but still al lot is wrong. Scaling, keyboard, graphic quality etc etc.

Hopefully MS can modify the app, not MAX. Max is helpfull for now but not the quality app I'am looking for.

Hey Ramon,

Did you reach out to Microsoft as well? As you mentioned, it is Microsoft that can modify their app. While Samsung is continously working to add support to apps that are not officially supported on full screen mode, (have you turned on Samsung DeX Labs under Settings >> Samsung DeX to experience this?) the fastest way to get it officially supported would be to reach out to the developers of the app - in this case Microsoft.

Yes we sended the request to Microsoft as well. I see al lot of requests at the microsoft site for this.

So hopefully this will be a feature soon.

Alright, thanks for the feedback! Please keep us posted if you get a reply from Microsoft. I'll also forward your feedback to Samsung to see if there is anything they can do in the meantime through DeX Labs to optimize your DeX experience, though chances are we'll have to wait for an app update from Microsoft.
