Google Home doesn't work in my case.
Tried also smart things (which is actually advertised as samsung's alternative to smart view) and all I can do is use my phone as a remote. This means the TV is detected, but for some reason screen mirroring option is not provided.

It is with great disappointment that after purchasing my new galaxy a22 4g, I realized that smart view has been discontinued and no alternative has been provided. I actually also even tried out "I don't know how many" different apps and none of them work.

Being a samsung client for many years, I'm afraid I'll have to reconsider... all previous, less advanced, phones I used had the screen mirroring option one way or another.

I honestly don't see the logic behind having an Android phone dated 2021, which you can't mirror on your (also samsung) smart tv.

Have you tried "Google home" app? I have read somewhere that you can connect with this app.
It's true though that a22 does not support smart view, but it's a low cost device and you should expect it. I would have search before buying the device, what supports and what not.

I have google home installed. It works perfect with chromecast, for which is actually designed. Unfortunatelly, although it has smart things connection function, it doesn't work at all. It's frustrating. It says not responding no connection.

"Google Home" doesn't work either.
All I'm saying is that even lower cost samsung phones used to have the feature. So I guess this is some sort of marketing strategy decision which I don't really understand. Even if you try and search about it, you'll see it is the kind of info you usually don't find in reviews and the reason is that one way or the other all phones have this option nowadays, either built in or through external app.

Hello, as you mentioned, low budget phones like the a22 or the a12 that I have run a version of One UI called One UI Core which includes less features than standard One UI. Missing features include Secure Folder, Screen Recording, Good Lock options, Smart View, Samsung Pay and many more. That is unfortunately that sad truth and there's not much that can be done about it.

Google Home does indeed not work with Samsung TVs because they do not support chromecast. The only option is to get a chromecast adapter but that of course defeats the point of buying an expensive smart tv.
