Look up how to do an emergency software recovery. Basically if a phone ever fails an update, there's a backup system that allows you to use a computer to fix it.

I'm saying to google it as the steps are always the same, a website is better than me trying to remember the whole process.

Though a tip for your situation, you can enter download mode either via the recovery menu or by holding a certain button combination. If your phone cannot enter the recovery menu, that special button combo might work. Oh and this wipes all your data sadly. Worth a try as it's free and has a decent chance to fix it it's a software bug.

After installing the One UI 8 update on my S22 Ultra, the phone suddenly crashed and went into a bootloop. It only shows the Samsung logo for a few seconds, then goes black and restarts over and over. I didn’t drop it or damage it, and everything worked perfectly before the update.
Now the phone overheats, the laptop can’t detect it, and I can’t access recovery mode. I visited Samsung Customer Service, and without even checking the device properly, they told me I need to replace the mainboard and screen for almost 850 dollars. This doesn’t make sense since the problem started right after the update.
Has anyone faced the same issue or found a real solution? I would really appreciate any help.

Mine is doing the same. Was fine before the update, but just crashing and rebooting (sometimes with worryingly long gaps in between) over and over. Heating up, losing battery in an instant. I didn't do anything to it, no new apps, just installed the update.

Exactly what happened when I updated to oneUI 7. it also crashed my s22 motherboard. It ended up replacing my motherboard. Luckily it was still still on warranty. But I think this is one thing that is problem with samsung. Their updates causes damage to motherboard. And samsung customer service isnt great at all. These things should be fully covered(wether it is within or nit within warranty) as it is samsungs fault

Mine did the same thing while traveling in Portugal. Samsung was able to give me a quote for motherboard without even seeing the phone. When I pushed for them to cover as a warranty they said they hadn't heard of it. Quick Google and there are hundreds of post in all forums experiencing the same problem. Makes it easy for a company to get you to upgrade their flagship phone every 2 years instead of the 5 they say they will support

Same here guys. Did Samsung just did it on purpose? I was on a call on 20th Feb and my 3 years old our of warranty now S22 Ultra, all of sudden froze and rebooted. Since then it is continuously rebooting as soon as Samsung logo appears. I cannot even access recovery or safe mode as it is not allowing me too. After rebooting like 20 times, it showed me this error and then again goes back into boot loop. I did not do anything to it. All my data is in it. It didn't even gave me a clue that something like this is going to happen, it was working just fine. Is it because S26 series is launching in 5 days? I really feel Samsung did it on purpose.

It sure seems convenient that the phones are failing under ui updates as new phones are released. Reading the forums it's definitely an issue and having Samsung claim it isn't feels disingenuous. I've dropped all my Samsung phones and gone to Google Pixel

Update:

I rolled back to UI 7 and that still did not fix the issue. I was able to use the phone without any apps installed. Just phone and SMS. Install an app and bootloop continues.

I had to get my phone to the local repair shop and not to samsung authorized service center. And what i got to know is alarming. The update literally fries the motherboard due to overheating. And the result is the bootloop. The only fix is repair on motherboard level, where they need to re-solder the processor, ram and storage. But this only has to be done by a very good professional.

This seems to be the case. Ui update cooks motherboard. To have Samsung say it's not the case is fraudulent in my opinion. Numerous cases directly related and even the repair facilities know that's the fix when you report symptoms without even seeing phone. I've gone to Google Pixl over this deceptive behavior.
