Hi
If you can't find the option directly, try searching for "call settings" or "auto call recording" within the phone's settings. Alternatively, you might find the setting under "More connections" or a similar category. If you're still having trouble, you can try searching for "Call recording" within the settings search bar.

In the middle of a call with my mother we both heard a voice saying our call was being recorded. Not sure if it was my end or hers. In any case, I'm having trouble disabling this recording feature on my s20+ as well. All the above mentioned steps to locate the setting simply don't work. The setting doesn't exist and the 'tape' icon doesn't appear when I did a test call afterwards. Is this feature only on the newer Samsung phones?

That doesn't solve the problem. The problem is that with one of the updates, Samsung has added a record icon that pops up after you are engaged in a phone call. If your face hits that icon, then the recording starts. If we could stop the icon from popping up when you make or receive calls, then the problem would be solved. I've tried everything and cannot find a way to get rid of that feature. I have an S24 Ultra.

How disgraceful that they have the option to turn it off in other parts of the world but not in Europe. I thought we had left Europe with Brexit? This is what is online about it.

"LAST RESORT: Carrirer/Region restrictions.
* In certain regions (e.g. EU) Samsung forces auto call recordings for saved contact calls only and doesn't let users disable it.

This does not work in the UK as no Auto record button at all. It's like having a spy on the phone as the record icon and so easily be switched on by accident, it's in the WRONG PLACE at least put it in the center of the screen, not on the edge where you hand or face can knock it!

I go to settings and it says, record calls. I tap on it and all it gives me is delete history and that's it. How do I stop the auto recording of the phone calls If it doesn't give me the option in settings.
