free screen protector replacement?

I got a galaxy z flip4 from Facebook marketplace yesterday for £110, the display seems to have mini scars/cracks in the middle of the crease, if it isn't free since it might void warranty that the screen protector has been taken off previously how much would it be? I read it'll be £20 which i wouldn't mind paying for if it helps longevity of the device

Its not £20 at all lol if you will get it fitted by samaung then it will cost over £300 but shops do not fit genuine ones and in few months anything can happen to the display

300 for a protector that can come off and or break the display at any time? would've been more reasonable if it was £100-80, ill have to look into it. if I have to then I'll just risk it and get a non genuine one or get it replaced by samsung them self

It doesn't void the warranty. When mine came off I phoned Samsung and they basically advised I didn't need to replace it. Had mine for 3 years now, no issues.

should I try and book it in for repair? usually samsungs come with 2-3 years if warranty and it's not been long since the guy bought this phone, he got it in late 2023 so it should still be in warranty

Because your warranty already ended as they give 2 year warranty only and how did they say you dont need to replace it without even looking at the phone lol

I'll more off pay for the protector not the display, the display seems fine just a bit worrying that it could break since it has no screen protector(just has 3 scars/mini cracks)

Oh screen protector are cheap anyways you can buy it online for less then £5.00

i didn't see there wasn't a protector or anything on it, he never mentioned anything bout getting it repaired either, just said they had bad issues with the protectors and that's it

I've had a z flip 3 and I tried to replace it my self, it's hard to align and it took me almost 2 hours to get it properly on

Depends what month he bought it so warranty ends by this year but contact samsung to check up when the warranty ends as they will know by checking the IMEI number on the phone.

Ouch my Flip and Folds have given my a super type sphincter and you adding buy one from Marketplace 🔥🔥🔥

Serious mode - your well out of warranty, but if you have a nearby Samsung store pop in as see if they do it for free Relace the delaminated screen protection, or £20, think we used the King's Cross Samsung store to do my wife ZFLIP4 or 5 I forget.

But I would also suggest buying the Whitestone screen protector and DIY, they are 100 times better that the cheapo junk Samsung use.

Either way the longer you leave it the more chance it will cause more expensive screen damage, then a circa £340 repair.

the zflip3 i originally had ended up breaking not 6 months after, ive got dogs and I left it open on accident and one of them stepped on the display and it stopped working completely after 10 minutes, only displayed like a orange hue before it completely died

i think since i have a bit of experience with the alignment and stuff from my last go, might be able to do it better this time, I'll look into those ones

Do it, both my old ZFLIP3 and sure it was my wife's ZFLIP4 Whitestone screen protector are so much better than the Samsung ones, touch, fell, colours and million times more robust.

I gifted them to my nieces (got them off iPhones) and 🙏 still going strong, eventually getting UI7 👏
