I don't know if anyone else is dealing with a similar issue, out of nowhere my phone starts to say there's 'No SIM' detected when there is, and restarts on its own nearly immediately after. I figured maybe since I haven't updated it that could be why, but that hasn't stopped anything. It's been doing so for the past 4 days, at least 2-3 times a day. I have the A53 model, I've had it for 3 years so maybe it's near the end of its lifespan? Does anyone relate?

It happens to all of us on physical SIM cards - one day, the phone simply does not detect it. Usually, it is solved by simply turning the phone off, removing the SIM card and cleaning it (either rubbing the contacts to a soft fabric or with a little of alcohol). It worked for me every time I had this issue.

There are some cases where it is a bit more complicated than that. Some people had to go to the network operator and have the SIM card swapped for a newer card.

If that didn't work, you may have some issues either on the software side of things, or a malfunctioning SIM card reader. For the software, you can try 1. cleaning the Android cache partition; 2. restart the phone in safe mode to see if it recognizes the SIM; 3. make a backup of your data and, then, factory reset the phone. If all of this does not work, go to a Samsung repair centre and have the phone analysed for the SIM card reader.

If you have an eSIM, then my experience is more limited. I would advise you to delete the eSIM, restart the phone, and add the eSIM again.
