AI Overview

+4
Yes, you can download the Samsung Smart Switch app on a Google Pixel phone from the Google Play Store to transfer data to a new device, although for a Pixel to Pixel transfer, you can use the data transfer feature built into the Google Pixel setup process instead.
To download Smart Switch on your Google Pixel (for switching from another phone):
Open the Google Play Store on your Pixel phone.
Search for "Samsung Smart Switch Mobile".
Select and install the app.
Follow the on-screen instructions to receive data from your old device.
To transfer data during the Google Pixel setup process (from another Android device):
Turn on your new Google Pixel and start the setup process.
When prompted, connect your old Android device to your new Pixel with a cable or via Wi-Fi.
Follow the prompts to transfer apps and data, selecting "Customise" to choose what you want to copy.
Why you might not need Smart Switch:
Pixel-to-Pixel transfers:
During the initial setup of a Google Pixel, the device has a built-in data transfer process that is often simpler and uses the cable connection between the two devices.
When you already have a Samsung device:
If you are transferring from a different brand of phone (e.g., Samsung) to your Pixel, the Google Play Store version of Smart Switch is the correct app to use.

Yes you can, I think most phones have a way to transfer data from one to another when you set them up nowadays, but Samsung, Pixel and Apple have this feature for sure.
