topic Gap at Top of Phone. in Galaxy A Series

I know this has been said multiple times, but I couldn't find a post with the right answer. My phone has a gap between the screen and the outside back thingy that looks like it is supposed to be there above my top camera at the front of my phone. No sound comes out of it, even on a call. It also does not take in sound, as I called my friend and plugged all holes but that gap, and they couldn't hear me. Maybe it's a defect, but I doubt it. I am an A14 5g, if that helps. It's not that important, but I'm curious.

In terms of "official holes" on that phone. You'll have one at the front top for the earpiece. A hole on the direct top to the right as a mic, the same on the bottom along with the speaker slits, charge port and headphone jack. The back with cameras shouldn't have any holes.

If you have holes or gaps anywhere else, try to get a pic as it might not be normal.

I see. Nope, a hole should not exist there. It doesn't affect my phone, so I should be fine. Would you mind telling me what an earpiece hole is?

The kinda long hole where sound come from during phone calls called an earpiece. I physically have an a14 non 5g but I imagine it's almost the same device. From pics online it looks identical

Thank you! That was another hole in my phone I was wondering about. Should I be worried if I see a yellowish wire or possibly a stick (most likely a stick) sticking out of it? And should I attempt to take it out?

Uhhh, can you send a picture of that? If you aren't 100% sure, and the phone still works, don't touch it. Just in case it is a wire

Yeah I see what you mean. It probably is just dirt or something. But if your phone sounds fine, I'd probably not touch it just in case it somehow makes something worse.

Also here's a clip of me showing my a14 just in case a comparison device helps https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/5DsdpaZGMAAb

Recorded on my main s25 ultra
