Voice to text disappeared from all apps

The microphone symbol has gone, I went into settings and it is on but I can no longer speak what I want to be texted.

Have also tried re-booting, the Samsung chat bot is also no help.

Any ideas?

Try clearing the cache of your keyboard app in Settings > Apps > [Your Keyboard] > Storage > Clear Cache. If that doesn't work, consider reinstalling the keyboard app or switching to a different one like Gboard.

Thanks Samkin, did that and soft reboot and safe mode. How has this happened? Is Knox not suffucient to protect me, should I get f-secure?

There are other issues such as info on fb messenger does not copy to my desktop

It's not very good at recognizing accents though especially from the North East

Nothing working. Mic gone. Did caxhe,restart, tried both keyboards. Etc. Wth? Any more ideas? Ridiculous

Mine is no longer working either. I used it Friday on the way home and now it's gone. I can't even find the proper app to clear the cache. I've downloaded another app and restarted but it's not working either.

try that >> settings -general management-keyboard list and default- keyboard button on navigation bar (open that option and you should see mic symbol left bottom corner of the keyboard ).

I dont know why samsung changed place of the "voice to text / voice input"

yeah but only in the text app, has disappeared on messenger. All that's there is the voice recorder to send a voice message....no thanks

Mine just did an update & the mic disappeared from the bar & to send GIFs had disappeared. Mic is at the bottom of phone left side I just noticed today but still no gif . Can't talk to text in messenger tho. Just voice record

My bad, it's at the bottom left on phone while in messenger like it is in regular texting. It isn't in the bar
