C1860FW Firmware upgrade was completed unsuccessfully

Ich habe oben genannten Drucker und habe wegen Kommunikationsproblemen einen Firmware Upgrade gemacht.

Seitdem habe ich im Display das Samsung Logo und ein Fenster mit der Fehlermeldung:

Firmware upgrade was completed unsuccessfully

please upgrade firmware UI again for recovery

das Habe ich schon 10mal versucht, leider ohne erfolg.

Der Drucker funktioniert bis auf die Bedienung am Drucker direkt.

Ich komme auch im Browser in das Druckerfenster.

Der Support kann mir angeblich nicht weiter helfen und Vorort kann ich leider keinen Laden finden, der Samsung Drucker repariert.

Der normale Factory reset geht natürlich nicht, da ich kein Display, sondern nur das Tastenfeld daneben habe.

Wer kann mir helfen?

da der Support für Drucker seit dem 31.10.2017 von HP übernommen wurde, können wir Moderatoren an dieser Stelle nicht weiterhelfen. Aber vielleicht weiß ja einer unserer unzähligen fleißigen Community-User Rat. Hallo AuraK,

danke für die schnelle Antwort, aber leider konnte mir genau der Kundensupport nicht weiter helfen.

Ich soll mir einen Servicehändler in meiner Nähe suche. Nur leider kann ich keinen finden, der auch Samsung im Programm hat.

Ich dachte wenn ich irgendeine ältere Firmware hätte, könnte ich die Aufspielen.

Vielleicht geht dann das Display wieder.

Hat evtl jemand noch etwas älteres abgespeichert.

Aktuell habe ich die neuste drauf "SL1860FW_V4.00.02.50.hd"

Garnicht, der Service bei Holz ist wie immer zum kotzen. Hatte mir deshalb ja man Samsung gekauft.

ich Drucke damit bis der Toner leer ist dann kommt er auf den Müll .

es bestand die Idee, eine ältere Firmware zu besorgen und die dann drüber zu spielen. Wurde aber nicht realisiert - warum auch immer.

Ich habe zwei unterschiedliche Versionen davor versucht und beide ohne Erfolg. Die wollen einfach eine neue Platine für 180€ verkaufen

Ja die Auswahl an alten Firmware Versionen ist echt bescheiden.
Auf den HP FTP Servern habe ich nur die folgenden gefunden

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/SL-C1860FW/SL1860FW_V4.00.02.50.zip

Bei mir konnte ich über das LAN WebUI immer nur die V4.00.02.50 flashen. Mit der wurde ja aber die Touch UI Firmware zerschossen. Die Version V4.00.04.06 wird wiederum nicht vom WebUI akzeptiert.

Flashen über USB hat allerdings für beide Firmware versionen einfach gar nichts bewirkt. Die Datei wird zwar übertragen aber dann passiert auch gar nichts mehr.

Meine Überlegung war jetzt ob ich es mit einer "neuen" Platine probiere. Im Drucker selbst sind zwei Stück verbaut.

1. Die Hauptplatine im Drucker (mit RAM Riegel)
2. Die Platine am Touchdisplay

Da die obige Fehlermeldung auf ein UI Problem hindeutet, habe ich die Hoffnung, dass es vielleicht mit einer neuen Touchdisplayplatine getan sein könnte. Beim Chinesen mit etwas Zeit beim Versand kostet die um die 30€. Wäre halt der letzte Versuch.

Hello, can you please share how your story ended? Were you able to resolve the problem?

Was this firmware upgrade error caused by the V4.00.02.50 or V4.00.04.06 firmware?

I'm now on 4.00.02.23 version and now not sure after your story should I upgrade or not

Firmware version V4.00.02.50 caused that my device got destroyed.
The firmware version V4.00.04.06 was not accepted by the device.

I tried with a replacement PCB that I found online "JC92-02505B Display Screen For Samsung Xpress C1860FW 1860 1860FW Control Panel Touchscreen Keyboard"
However this PCB did not changed anything. The device showed some different error on the screen. Firmware updates were not possible.

I will throw this device in the trash and never buy Samsung/HP printers again.

I have C1860FW Samsung , I have installed firmware downloaded from official website that was V4.00.02.50 , but it has corrupted my screen , and now its freeze on startup SAMSUNG logo …

I can access through web and I see that main firmware is V4.00.04.06 , I have download and installed but still the same thing , device is freezing at startup logo SAMSUNG.

I have tried to leave 2days without power , remove battery inside PCB and still the same…

I have read on forums that version V4.00.02.50 can corrupt the printer… but how is possible that from official site HP can suggest the wrong firmware !

Can anyone resolve this problem ?!

Unfortunately, unlikely you will get help here from somebody official. The printer business was sold by Samsung long ago, around 2017, so this printer is not maintained anymore.

I dunno whether this V4.00.02.50 firmware was written after or before acquisition, but definitely if there were some bugs in it, they were no fixed since then. Now HP absolutely doesn't give a $hit on old Samsung printers and unlikely the situation will change.

I praise God that I read this forum thread BEFORE I started flashing this ROM, not after.

from my view the only chance is to try a downgrade and install an old firmware.

I got only SL1860FW_V4.00.02.17 Firmware.zip including SL1860FW_V4.00.02.17.exe -> 85 MB,
downloaded in 2014 ... I would say, it's really outdated.
