Ok so....its been a while since I had any issue with the s21 ultra or android until I updated it to the latest software: android 13 one ui 5.0.

So far I've noticed a major and irritating problem.
It's the phones orientation. When phone held in portrait position, and the auto rotate is on auto mode, the phone camera app, chrome websites, and actually any other apps that allow the orientation options in landscape and portrait, the phone keeps turning landscape when the phone is held in portrait. VERY ANNOYING.

all pictures are coming out in wrong orientation. Can't look at websites
unless I lay the phone flat.

When the auto rotation is turned off I can use all the apps in portrait mode except the camera still switches orientation the wrong way around.

Need a fix quick samsung

I experienced a similar auto rotation issue yesterday. Power saving mode with limited apps and home screen was enabled. If I enabled auto-rotate, the display would switch to landscape mode. But when auto-rotate is disabled, the display is ok. However, the images taken by camera in portrait mode is saved in landscape mode. I had to rotate each picture.  After a phone restart, the auto-rotation got fixed.

I also faced same issue in my note 20 ultra updated 2 days ago. First noticed it today.

It's a issue with OneUI 5.0.

It is taking Left side of my phone as top side while auto rotate is on. So if I tilt up, right or down then it's its 3 different orientations.

But if I tilt it left it comes to normal mode, then I lock the orientation so things work little bit fine😂

I also have this issue since the recent update on the S21 Ultra. Thankfully not the only one, I thought it was an issue with the sensor.

Like many on the thread, reboot resolved for short period, then it starts happening again.

Hopefully will be patched soon 🤞

Unfortunately I have the same issue since updating to Android 14 on my S21. It is particularly irritating when trying to view any fullscreen content on any video app (YouTube, netflix, prime video and so on) since it does automatically rearrange the screen orientation in the opposite one from which the phone is held, so the content is always upside down.

I really hope a fix comes soon.

Just wanted to add that this exactly is happening to me too.

I have a Note 20 ultra, though. Not an s21.

Restart fixes it but only for half a day. Been restarting my phone 2 times a day since one UI 5.

I want to add, however, that apart from that I live the update
